Unlike traditional blackout curtains or standard blinds, the SOLAR Moon Blackout Blind prevents all light from entering the room. The blind is installed between the window sashes together with blackout side profiles that seal the edges. The result is a fully darkened room without gaps or light leakage.

Complete blackout performance is achieved when black fabric is selected together with black blackout side profiles.

A dark room for better sleep

The SOLAR Moon Blackout Blind blocks light both through the fabric and at the edges, ensuring total darkness — ideal for bedrooms where uninterrupted sleep is essential.

The SOLAR Moon Blackout Blind can also be installed alongside an existing Venetian blind. Both blinds fit between the window sashes and can be operated independently. The Venetian blind allows flexible daylight control during the day, while the Moon provides complete blackout whenever required.

Please note that the SOLAR Moon Blackout Blind is suitable only for double-sash, inward-opening MSE windows (the most common window type in Finland). It is not compatible with triple-sash MSK windows.

The blind is installed between the window sashes together with blackout side profiles. The sealing strip and side profiles are fitted first, after which the blind is pressed into place. The cable bushings are then installed, the cords are guided to the interior and adjusted to the correct length.
